The living room is, arguably, the most important room in your home and it often serves more than one purpose. It may be used as the main television room, a space for reading quietly or for relaxing with and entertaining friends. Undoubtedly, one of the factors affecting your design of custom made living room furniture is the size of the room itself. Remember that arm chairs take up a lot of space but only seat one person; if your area is small, you would be advised to have a 2 or 3 seater sofa instead. When assessing how well your various pieces of furniture will fit remember access to doors and the ability to walk through the room if required. Nests of tables are particularly useful as they can be stored neatly away when not in use. The available space will also partly determine the style of furniture you commission – something more elegant and streamlined may be better suited to a small room whereas a larger space can take heavier, chunkier furniture.
